Dispensationalists have an underlying animosity toward Jews.
Their teaching says that today’s Jews are blinded, won’t hear the Gospel, most of them are doomed to hell.
Their teaching says that God has a “future plan” to kill 2/3 of them in a holocaust and thus save “all of Israel” by putting the remaining 1/3 through this tribulation.
And worst of all, they get all giddy with excitement as they “see this day approaching.” Some of them even BEG Jesus to come quickly and get it going (“Maranatha!” they shout.)
When they see Jews having a desire to see their Messiah, do they step up Gospel efforts to reach them with the TRUE Messiah? Nope. They sit down on the sidelines with a bag of popcorn and make giddy videos from their cars.
Of course, they have ZERO scripture to back any of their (so far failed) eschatology. They get this “2/3” idea from Zechariah 13:
Zec 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
Zec 13:9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
There is NOTHING in this passage that mentions a 7 year time of tribulation. There is NOTHING in this passage that even says this is a far-future thing to happen in the 21st century or beyond.
And of course we see nothing about Jacob’s Trouble here. In fact, the verse before it says this:
Zec 13:7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
This prophecy in verse 7 was fulfilled already by Jesus Christ (see Matt 26:31 and Mark 14:27 ). Was Jesus a literal Shepherd? Nope. Were the disciples literal sheep? Nope. But somehow dispies have to insert another gap of 2000 years between Zech 13:7 and 13:8 because, you know, the mount of Olives referenced simply MUST BE a literal mountain that will literally split in two.
We see no mention of 2/3 of Jews dying ANYWHERE in the New Testament…Paul says nothing, Peter says nothing, James says nothing, John says nothing. Jesus says nothing.
And of course, there is nothing about any “great tribulation” in Daniel 9. Only the salvation plan for national Israel, into which we Gentiles are grafted.
Whatever Zechariah 13 means, it has nothing to do with what the dispensationalists say it means. No matter how you slice it, God wants every Jew to be saved – just like He wants every Gentile to be saved (2 Peter 3:9).
Do you see how dispies have tricked you for 150 years? Isn’t it time we held them accountable for this false teaching?
The next time a dispie tries to claim they love Israel, ask them why they want Jesus to return “quickly” so He can begin the process of beating up on His wife.
